Dr. Rebecca Mets-Halgrimson, M.D.

Dr. Mets-Halgrimson was born in Maine and grew up in Chicago. She earned her BA in Biology at Colby College, followed by a masters in public health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She earned her MD and completed Ophthalmology residency training at Northwestern University. She then did her Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus fellowship training in Washington, DC at Children’s National Hospital.
She enjoys connecting with patients and their families, and has clinical interests across all areas of pediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus. She worked full-time in academic children’s hospitals for 11 years (2 at University of Colorado and 9 at Northwestern.) She taught medical students, residents and fellows, and has published papers and presented at local and national meetings. She is now happy to serve the Colorado Springs area and put down roots with her family.
She is a board certified Ophthalmologist, and a member of American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
